Summary:
Performs product testing, training, data-entry and paperwork functions in support of customer needs.
This job requires timeliness, good work ethic, and putting critical thinking skills into action.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safety:
Promote safety through personal conduct, active participation in safety programs, and by maintaining safe and efficient working conditions and environment.
Customer Satisfaction:
Keep accurate QA records, including data entry and generation of customer required paperwork.
Equipment Maintenance:
Properly maintain laboratory equipment by auditing equipment performance and conducting preventative maintenance routines.
Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance tasks on complex analytical equipment.
Product testing:
Learn what is 'good' and 'bad' product and help others to tell the difference.
Understand how to use basic lab apparatus and equipment.
Conduct microbial testing and maintain a 'library' of finished products.
Team Participation:
Promote morale among co-workers by sharing experiences and knowledge, participating in company/departmental functions, and demonstrating a commitment to live the Basic American Foods mission, vision, and values.
Uphold the principles of SQF by actively promoting safe quality foods in the workplace and taking action to address any deviations from this standard.
Monitor company quality programs and conduct food safety verification tasks.

All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.

Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.
Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies.
Regularly complete behavior based safety observations.
Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
In the event that the employee is absent from work, their position will be temporarily filled by an employee who has received the required training to perform said job function.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to meet the following qualifications.
Education and/or Experience One to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read, write, and communicate to other employees professionally.
Ability to give meaningful and legible written instruction.
Ability to lead, direct, and instruct group in various types of training.
Judgment on how to conduct oneself during conflict.
Mathematical Skills Basic math ability, including multiplication, reading charts and graphs, and proportions/percentages.
Reasoning Ability Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to use common sense, to prioritize, and to identify valuable tasks whenever no other direction has been provided.
Computer Skills Working knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, and email.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
